The NIRF rankings for 2020 are out. In Management, the rankings are led by IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. The top IITs in the top 10 rankings are Kharagpur and Delhi. A comparison of the performance across different criteria is provided in the snippet below for the top 25 institutions.
Interestingly, while IIMs score significantly higher on teaching and learning resources, along with perception, IITs score very high in terms of research and practice. This possibly introduces areas for possible interventions.
Across all the Institutes in overall rankings, IIT Chennai leads the roster followed by IISc and IIT Delhi. Among this list, the top ranks are dominated by the IITs, while the top other universities in the list are JNU, Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. The performance of all these universities are added for deliberation.
In engineering, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIT Mumbai leads the rankings across all parameters.
Top universities ranking is dominated by IISc Bangalore, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University and Benaras Hindu University. Amrita University and Jadavpur University follows closely immediately after these institutes.
