Note from the author: We regularly read about bank reform in the wake of the recession, but 57% of people do not believe these reforms are sufficient, and it’s amazing to think that 43% of people with savings no longer put them in the bank because of trust issues. In the US and the UK trust in banks has dropped 46% and 30% respectively, while trust in banks in China and India has risen by 12%. Banking scandal after banking scandal really hasn’t helped to alleviate these trust issues. There is no easy solution to this, but I attempted to outline a three pronged approach in the info-graphic that will help the banks to regain consumer’s trust.
