Business Fundas Case Study – Letter for Query

Recently Business Fundas editor got an appreciation email based on a case study which is being used for teaching subjects like web analytics and digital marketing. Sharing the query which was raised by the executive MBA student in University at Buffalo. Maybe some of our readers may find it interesting.

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I am currently a student in the University at Buffalo’s Executive MBA program.  We are currently utilizing Business Fundas as one of several different “Case studies” in an effort to explore different business models and formulas for success.

As I am currently involved in analyzing Business Fundas’ operations, I thought it would not hurt if I reached directly out to the source (you) to ask two very specific questions that may help with my case study.  If you have the time, I would greatly appreciate it if you could please provide a short answer to the following two specific questions:

  1. In your opinion, what is the single most important differentiating factor that separates you from your competition?
  1. In today’s environment, what is the single greatest challenge to growing Business Fundas?

If you are indeed able to reply to these questions, please rest assured that your entire responses will be attributed/credited as appropriate.

I can imagine that you are very busy planning Business Fundas’ next great leap, so even a single sentence in response to each question would be greatly appreciated.

Thank very much for your consideration of this humble request.  Have a wonderful day!

Hi Donald,

Many thanks for the email. I hope the case study is indeed helpful for you to understand the way we strategised the growth plans of a portal.

Responding to your queries, please fine my inputs inline:

1.       In your opinion, what is the single most important differentiating factor that separates you from your competition?

I think this is purely the way we have developed a strategy for having a wide variety of content for different types of entrepreneurs and small businesses. Not many content management portals address such a diversity.

  1. In today’s environment, what is the single greatest challenge to growing Business Fundas?
  • Getting content is a major challenge.
  • Monetizing the content without diluting the focus of the blog is another challenge.
  • Crowdsourcing for content which is really niche and insightful.

With best regards,
A.K.
