From story teller to researcher to best seller: the journey continues! Got a fair bit of pleasant surprise today to know that our case study on Tech Talk became the best selling case study in IVEY cases globally for the academic year 2019-2020. Tech Talk started as a blog when I was doing my masters around 2007. What a walk through the memory lane, story teller to researcher and back again!
The NIRF rankings for 2020 are out. In Management, the rankings are led by IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. The top IITs in the top 10 rankings are Kharagpur and Delhi. A comparison of the performance across different criteria is provided in the snippet below for the top 25 institutions.
The top positions are led by IIM Ahmedabad and Bangalore, as these institutes break into the bracket of 51-100 ranks. IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai and IIM Calcutta form the second bracket in the QS Rankings in the Management category.
Two articles of mine hit a century of citations at the same time in Google Scholar. Feeling elated. Thanks a lot to all my collaborators and researchers from similar disciplines for supporting my small steps in research.

This data is taken from QS Ranking based on data scored by individual parameter both for International Top Universities and Indian Top Universities for Business and Management category. Major differences come from Employer reputation and academic reputation. However interestingly, research outcomes are relatively similar.

The report of World Happiness Index is now out. India ranks at 133 with a score of 4.19. In the previous report, India has a rank of 128 and it slips down this year. In this report, the rankings are led by Finland, with a score of 7.632. The top of the rooster is ruled by NORDICS economies. USA is ranked at 18 with a score of 6.89..

In a sharp turn of events, the Government of India has decided to give a higher pay as compared to what was recommended by the seventh pay commission. Indeed the recommendation of the seventh pay commission was not considered really attractive by most government employees, considering the inflation and salary hikes given in the private sector.
