One of the most important things for a company’s success is the team that is working on it. This is people who make it possible by simply doing their job well every day. That’s the reason why each organization should have a human resources department that is responsible for the process of supervising the work of employees and hiring new ones.Actually, the range of its functions is much bigger, but these are the key ones. Do organizations change their personality before and after critical events – Insights from Twitter Analytics
Social media and big data have been in high focus due to their potentially huge impact on business, society and polity. As more and more data gets created in social media directly by organizations and more importantly, through user generated content, the importance of mining this data was recognized. This research contributes to the same domain and peruses the twitter community before and after an event which is a major breakthrough for an economy. Such an event could be an election for a nation or an economic budget announcement for a country. In this study, the event being monitored is the Union Budget 2016 in India and try to track the conversations surrounding the budget on twitter among the corporates and individual influencers. A Review of Machine Learning Algorithms and Applications
With the explosion of data generation, getting optimal solutions to data driven problems is increasingly becoming a challenge, if not impossible. The importance of machine learning algorithms, which can handle this burst of data and assist in intelligent decision making, is thus realised among data scientists. Within this category of machine learning algorithms, a special focus area is bio-inspired algorithms. This review article provides the readers some inputs on the advances in the domain of bio inspired algorithms and their potential applications across domains.

Acquiring 10 licenses / registrations ensures that the business is legal
Many small business owners are unaware of the license procedures that are required for operating their business. The license for a business depends on various factors like the type of the business, the regulations, and policies imposed by the government and the area in which they are planning to start the business. The license is a legal permit given by the local government to the company that indicates that it runs an authorized business and it is not only applicable to the new business, but even an existing company has to renew their application after a particular period. There are some businesses that require more than one license to operate their business legally in that state which is time-consuming and expensive, even though it is a tedious and frustrating process, obtaining all the legal documents and certificates enables the business to operate without any issues. Because if a company is found in non-compliance, they have to pay penalties and they are chances even for permanent closure of the business. Evaluating Multifaceted Risks in Digital Services
Digital services are increasingly getting prominence, due to the multi-faceted models of service delivery and different approaches of customer engagement. However such models face a lot of challenges from the different dimensions of perceived risk. An empirical investigation was conducted by our student, Mr. R Mohta, which highlights the different dimensions of risk in different digital services. Risk Management Approaches
This is a study where we attempt to explore different dimensions of risk that a consumer of any service or product may face over an interaction between the service / product vendor / provider and the consumer. Results are descriptive statistics based on findings of an empirical study. Different dimensions of these risk, which are defined in scientific literature provide different interaction effect at the point of decision making and service consumption. That is why it is important to understand their dynamics when service science is being explored. Continue reading “Risk Management Approaches”

How to make a Smart Campus – Smart Campus Programme in IIT Delhi
Abstract: This is a technical report on how a plan can be made for developing a smart campus by taking inputs from multiple stake-holders, and then prioritizing the suggestions. The focus of this smart campus initiative was smart services, sustainability, fostering research opportunities and fostering innovative entrepreneurship models. Focus was redefined to improving campus life, water and power sustainability, infrastructure mapping, information management and flow, waste treatment and outsourcing plans. Potential projects were identified and prioritized based on high impact and low complexity (Phase 1), low impact and low complexity (Phase 2), high impact & high complexity (Phase 2) and low impact & high complexity projects (Phase 3). Governance and project implementation blueprint was also developed as part of this technical report.
Keywords: Smart Campus, Smart City, Sustainability, Smart Technologies, Internet of Things.
